30 Second Italian: The Days of the Week 30 Second Italian: The Days of the Week

Now that you’ve booked your flights or perhaps already made it to Italy, it’s time to schedule plans! In this week’s 30 Second Italian we’re going to be introducing you to the 7 giorni (days) of the week.

Tip: The same way Monday through Friday all end in “-day” in English, they have the same “-d” ending in Italian.

Monday = Lunedì

Tuesday = Martedì

Wednesday = Mercoledì

Thursday= Giovedì

Friday = Venerdì

Saturday = Sabato

Sunday = Domenica

So there you have it, the 7 days of the week. Also helpful to know is weekend is called week-end, just like in English. Stay tuned for more 30 Second Italian.
